A new organization for Enav Academy

A function of fundamental importance has been founded within the structure Academy of the ENAV, a decision that brings the corporate body to align itself among the most advanced public interest operational organizations of the Air Navigation services.

ICAO Assembly agrees to ATSEP license

Dear colleagues,

Today 25th September 2007, it is a great day for IFATSEA and all ATSEP worldwide. At the third meeting of the ICAO Technical Commission, I introduce WP-210 that was drafted jointly by IFATSEA and ITF. (see attachments) I am very happy to report that this working paper was supported by the meeting thus tasking ICAO to put ATSEP Licensing into their work program. I would like to thank the States and organisations that supported our papers and spoke in favour: France, IFATCA, Japan, Colombia, India, Italy, Nigeria and USA (partly). The only State that did not support our paper was Canada. It is a shame but I am sure the Canadian Affiliate will raise this issue to the proper authorities. Also, I would like to thank Affiliates who have lobbied their States Representatives for gaining their support.

A first step has been taken but more work has to be done and I am looking forward to further support.
