This is the Official Calling Notice for IFATSEA’s 46th General Assembly.  The Assembly will take place in Abuja, Nigeria from October 31 to November 4, 2016. The theme of this year’s Assembly is “On the frontline of Aviation Safety – Setting Standards for now and the future”.

Accommodations: Sheraton Hotel Abuja, 1, Ladi Kwali Street, Abuja Nigeria.

Meeting Dates:  October 31 to November 4, 2016

Assembly Registration and Hotel Reservations: Visit host committee website at www.ifatseaga2016.org.

Agenda: The Draft Agenda for the Assembly, Regional Meeting’s and Sub-Committee’s will be published and updated on IFATSEA’s website and emailed to members no later than 31 August 2016. Final agenda will be published prior to Assembly opening with updates during the Assembly.

Constitutional Changes: Resolutions proposing to amend the IFATSEA must be provided to the Executive Board in writing and no later than 31 August 2016. The Resolution must be signed by an official of the Affiliate Association and e-mailed to the Executive Secretary at thorsten.wehe@ifatsea.org.

Elections: in accordance with Article V paragraph 2 of IFATSEA’s Constitution, elections will take place for the following Executive Board positions:

• Vice-President
• Treasurer
• Regional Director – Africa
• Regional Director – America

Nominations must be signed by an official of the appropriate association, who must be member in good standing, and shall be received by the Executive Secretary no later than 12 noon local time on 2^nd November 2016.

Papers and Presentations: Members who wish to deliver presentations during the Assembly are urged to contact the Executive Board.
